Turkish Bath Sheet - $6.99!

We were out running errands today, and I was trying to find towels for the newly redecorated bathroom.  I ended up finding some great fluffy ones at TJMaxx and then we went to Ross.  As I was roaming around, I see this white towel that looks so fluffy and beautiful.  I reached over to touch it and find that it was a huge bath sheet, made from Turkish Cotton.  Oh, how I loved it.  Well, knowing how much bath sheets cost, I almost didn't bother looking at the tag...............good thing I did!  It had to have been a misprint.  It was only $6.99!  Yeah!  WHAT??  I got Chris to come over and read the tag for me and then we started scouring the shelves for more of these.  We came across a turquoise color one....not near as fluffy and soft, and it was priced at $17.99. While we couldn't find any more, I wanted to pay for my find and get out of there, before someone realized there was this huge mistake.  Yea for me!  Sorry "guests", guess you're just going to have to make do with some regular Ralph Lauren towels.  The good one's all mine!!!
We also went to Home Depot (my very favoritist store) and got some matte finish for the headboard and chair rails we're putting up in the bathroom.  Now that it's been sprayed (and I'm sure that I probably ingested a bunch of lead into my lungs) several times, it's all done but the drying.

Finished and delivered the first cake I've done in 3 weeks, today.  It was very nice to have a little break from baking, especially with the hot temperatures around here.  Now I'm getting ready for a busy September month.  Can't wait to start on several new cake designs.  You can check out my latest cake - Peanut Butter Cups, Unwrapped, on my website, Always with Cake!
I've got to go work on my red and white rug.  I keep procrastinating and even started looking for a white rug today, until Chris asked:  "Aren't you making one for the bathroom?"  Yeah, I guess I STILL am.

  1. Looks like you've been busy woman! I have but it's been on canning and the garden, not crafty fun stuff! As for my address for chris... I'm currently backpacking in another country in the Mountains where compuses and directions don't work right now and won't be home till mid January when the temperatures are around -30 and several feet of snow cover the ground with hard blowing winds. But if you'd like to catch me home around then u can. (haha that should keep me safe till next spring?)
